TRAVEL & STAY

All events will be taking place near Saint-Émilion.

Planes, trains, and automobiles

Saint-Émilion is a 45-minute drive east of Bordeaux (you know, like the wine!). There are several ways to get there…

There are many direct and connecting flights to Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport; from there, you can rent a car, take a cab, or take an easy 35-min train to Saint-Émilion. We are also planning to arrange a shuttle from the airport to Saint-Émilion, so please send us your itinerary if you’d be interested in that service; we’ll try to book a time that can accommodate as many people as possible!

If you’re flying into Bordeaux…

From Paris, there are many ways to get to Saint-Émilion. The most common way is to take a high-speed TGV train (approx. 2.5 hours) from Paris Gare de Lyon (city center) to Bordeaux Saint Jean, where you can then rent a car, take a cab, or transfer to another 35-min train to Saint-Émilion. As mentioned above, we are planning to book a shuttle from Bordeaux to Saint-Émilion; if you’d be interested in that, please send us your arrival time in Bordeaux, so we may accommodate as many people as possible!

If you’re in the mood for a bit of a road trip, you can also rent a car in Paris and weave through the countryside on a 5.5 hour drive directly to Saint-Émilion (see this helpful article for some fun things to do + see along the way).

Saint-Émilion is a tiny medieval village… and we’re taking it over! We would recommend arriving either on 10/26 and departing on 10/29. Unless otherwise noted, all hotels listed below are located in Saint-Émilion, within a ~5 minute walk from each other. Price ranges for each hotel are based on room selection.

For hotels where we have a block, please contact the hotel directly, reference the wedding of Emma & Dylan, and indicate any room preferences you may have (subject to availability). For hotels where we do not have a block, please book directly online. As a reminder, shuttles will be provided between Saint-Émilion and our events on Friday & Saturday.

We did some pre-scouting for the best restaurants, bars, and things to see + do in Saint-Émilion! It’s certainly not exhaustive (there is so much packed into those medieval walls!), but hopefully it’s a good place to start. As a reminder: dinner on Friday and Saturday, as well as brunch on Sunday, will all be provided at our events!
